This course is meant for current and future leaders of family offices: members of a family and/or part of a professional management team. Students in the course will develop insights into the different roles that family offices play, effective leadership, structure of these offices, defining goals for investment and distribution and other important topics.
Cannot enroll in BUSN 35146 if 35145 taken previously.
There will be some lecture materials each week, but our discussions will be based predominantly around a sequence of cases. Students will work in groups of up to 4 people and will be required to submit written case evaluations each week. There will also be a final project to be done in groups. Details to be added.
We will also welcome periodically visitors from the industry to enrich our discussions.
