The Economics of Contracts (33931)

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the theory of optimal contracting in economics. This course will jump around to cover a variety of loosely connected topics, going through seminal results and then presenting a quick tour of more recent work. Possible topics include incentive contracts under moral hazard and adverse selection, the theory of the firm, relational contracts, robustness, delegation, price discrimination, and others to be determined.

BUSN 33931 = ECON 30540 

Students are expected to be familiar with Price Theory I - III (ECON 30100, 30200, 30300).
